We launched Tool Depot in June 2014 in response to the high demand from local tradesmen for a professional power tool and accessories outlet in Wexford. During that time, the tradesmen were finding that they had no option but to go further afield to source what they needed to get the job done.
After a lot of careful consideration and strategic planning, known to us as blood, sweat and tears, we opened our doors with Brendan McCleane and Jim Fallon at the sales counter. Between them there was, and now even more, a great deal of experience in the building and engineering industries, not to mention many years in the power tools industry too.
Our success attracted all the major power tool brands, who were very eager to have a dedicated tools outlet in the southeast region.
Selling all the biggest brands such as Festool, Bosch, Dewalt, Makita, Hikoki, Milwaukee, Trend, Sip, and Stanley plus many more, makes us independent in our offering, which in itself is invaluable to our customers.
We service what we sell and are the point of contact for all warranty and non-warranty issues.
We have grown year on year since 2014 and as a result Tom Cullinane joined us in 2019, bringing with him a vast knowledge of the power tool industry. We were delighted to get a man of his experience to come and join the team with Jim and Brendan.
We have gone on to win Wexford Business of the year which could only have been achieved with the solid team we have.
In 2016 we embarked on the creation of our website, tooldepotireland.ie, and are very excited about the prospects of this to push on our business. We have secured a great service with our partners in DPD to provide a next day anywhere in Ireland delivery, even to the muddiest of building sites.
We look forward to the future and growing our business with you our customer to provide an unparalleled level of service and knowledge in an increasingly crowded sales environment. We will remain honest and true to our goal of giving you solid impartial advice when it comes to selecting the best tool for your job.
We are closed Friday 23rd and reopen on the 3rd January 2023
