Fantastic quality product, used it to construct a garden shed, which was made so easy with this Makita drill / driver. So glad I chose this particular one, as others from other manufacturer's were nowhere near as good. The small torch type light, makes things so much easier to see when you are working in dark corners.

Really pleased with this saw. Needed a small, light saw to use on a building project and this does the job well. Not heavy, well balanced and the battery life seems good so far. Not having a cord trailing under my feet was a blessing and a lot safer. I've always bought Makita drills - the first one is over 20 years old and going strong - so had no doubts about choosing their brand again.

Good quality, light weight hammer drill I use for interior stuff, like erecting shelves and hanging pictures. I bought this because I needed something that could easily go through plaster and concrete & brick, but not be so violent, like my mains 240v hammer drill. Turns out, it's got plenty of welly anyway, but because of the short body, it's easier to use one-handed. Very happy.

About the Makita Dc18Rc

The Makita DC18RC fast charger uses Intelligent Charging Technology to control current, voltage and temperature to maximize the battery life. It can charge a BL1850 5.0Ah battery in approximately 45 minutes – and to the fullest charge.

The MAKITA DC18RC has a cooling fan and Active 3 Controls. This means that during the loading of the charging voltage, charging current, and temperature is held in the holes. The cooling system blows cool air into the battery. As a result, high temperatures are less likely to occur in the battery, so that the battery life is extended, and the charging process is accelerated

“Great little device, charges fast as it's fan cooled, has a chip that tells you more than you want to know about the condition of a Makita battery. I have a different top brand one that's very basic in comparison but costs more."

As I unpacked this wrench I'm sure I saw little white flags coming from the stubborn nuts I wanted undoing. I have had a few impact wrenches over the years and all were a little disappointing, letting me down not being able to undo not so very tight nuts. I did some research and finally bit the bullet and bought this. This is a serious bit of kit, you can feel the power just by pulling the trigger so if you need to undo anything this wrench will handle it.

This tool is very well made, powerful and well-balanced. It is much easier to use compared with a tool with a power cord, allowing quick and easy use away from a power source and no tangled power cord to worry about either. Disc change is easy with the tool included and the guard, shaft and locking rings are accurately made to precise tolerances that gives confidence. The tool functions without vibration and is quieter in use than any I've used before. It is quite light to hold which prevents user fatigue. I very much liked the red warning lights that come on if the tool is being overloaded in use. They taught me to be a better user within a few minutes and allow the user to get the best out of the tool and battery.
